They were finally able to climb back up the mountain last season, winning the AFC North with a 10-6 record. They were even more impressive against divisional teams, recording a perfect 6-0 mark in their division games. Unlike the 2005 team, the 2009 team won with its defense. The Cincinnati Bengals only allowed 301.4 yards per game last season to rank No. 4 in the NFL in total defense. Their scoring defense was also impressive. The Bengals gave up just 18.2 points per game in 2009 (No. 6 in the NFL).</p>
<p>The Bengals defense will stay the backbone of this team, but the hope is that the additions of Antonio Bryant and Terrell Owens will help the offense catch up. The Bengals averaged only 19.1 points and 309.1 yards per game last season.</p>
<p>Offense: I think it&#8217;s safe to say the Bengals would not have been playoff-bound had it not been for a breakout season by RB Cedric Benson.  Cedric will be the key to the Bengals&#8217; success again this year if the passing game can not be put back to its 2005-2007 form. Last season, the Bengals ranked No. 26 in the National Football League in passing offense, averaging just 180.6 yards per game through the air. Quarterback Carson Palmer stepped down from his spot as gunslinger and just managed the offense. He threw for 3,094 yards and 21 scores with 13 picks. Those numbers fall well short of the ones he put up in 2005-2007.</p>
<p>With the add on of Bryant, Owens and Jermaine Gresham, we may see the gunslinger return. It was obvious that the offense missed T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chris Henry last season. Without much help, the opposition was able to hold Chad Ochocinco in check with double coverage.</p>
<p>While Palmer will certainly have more options in 2009, it would be presumptuous to think the air attack will be explosive. Owens is past his prime and Bryant&#8217;s knee isn&#8217;t all the way healed yet.</p>
<p>Defense: Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer has done a fantastic job. Prior to his arrival, The Bengals had ranked in the bottom six in the NFL in total defense three seasons in a row. Now, with an emphasis on stopping the run, Zimmer&#8217;s defense is among the best in the league.</p>
<p>It could be even better in 2010 if the Bengals are able to stay injury free. Antwan Odom and Domata Peko, who are critical pieces up front, both missed playing time last season. <p>Led by the talented young Rey Maualuga and the underrated Dhani Jones, the linebacker corps is strong.</p>

<p>In 1948 the Indians made a very risky move. They looked over to the Negro Leagues and signed Negro League legend Satchel Paige. Paige was well known for his mysterious pitches that were said to be unlike any other. By the time he signed with the Indians he was already in his early 40s.  However, regardless his age he was able to put together a solid record and ERA to help the Indians on their way.</p>
<p>The Indians would take on the Boston Braves in the World Series. The Braves were no match for the Indians and the Indians would take the series in 6 games. This would be the 2nd and last World Series title for the Indians.</p>
<p>The Indians really did not make very over the years until the 1990&#8217;s after their 2nd World Series title. After the CL was created in 1994 the team went on to win the Division title every year between 1995 and 1999.
