NBA All Star Weekend
Well another NBA All Star Weekend has concluded and I will summarize my opinion of the weekend in one word…DISAPPOINTMENT! Yes you read it right, I was thoroughly disappointed. The Slam Dunk contest was a complete bore and the actual All Star game was not exciting until the 4th quarter.
Kudos to Nate Robinson for making history with his third slam dunk title but he could have dunked against junior high kids and won! I mean Shannon Brown and Gerald Wallace were supposed to bring and and they didn’t come close! Even Charles Barkley said the competition lacked the luster its had in previous years. Hopefully the competition will rebound next year and flourish like it used to.
D Wade did come through for the East and won his 1st All Star MVP award. I mean the all star team was almost unrecognizable with so many players being injured but Wade and Lebron James provided great highlights for the All Star game.
If someone else feels differently than I do about the NBA All Star Weekend feel free to comment but for the most part I was very un-impressed! Oh well maybe next year it will be better, as the All Star festivities will be held in Cali!
