Straight shooter! Abe Polin is rolling in his grave right now trying to dodge the imaginary stray bullets the Washington Wizards organization has taken over the past two weeks.
Gilbert Arenas and the Wizards team has been under extreme scrutiny the past week due to issues with Arenas bringing firearms inside the teams locker room. The NBA and other authorities are looking into an issue where Arenas allegedly pulled a gun on teammate Javaris Crittenton.
I am updating this post because breaking news just emerged that Arenas pleaded guilty to felony gun possession and should face up to no more than six months in prison. Wow I mean when will athletes realize they are not above the law. The photo below shows just how immature Gilbert was in handling this situation.
I mean come on dude you are making jokes with your teammates and acting like the whole ordeal is a joke. I don’t think he is laughing now that he realizes he may face jail time and loose his 90 million contract with the Wizards.
I hope this wakes Arenas as well as other professional athletes up to the fact they no one is above the law. They need to realize the consequences of their actions and take issues a bit more serious. In the spirit of being immature though I have to say this:
“Why did the NBA suspend Gilbert Arenas, I thought they had him on the team because he could shoot!”
I know that’s a bit too far but maybe now he will perform more like a straight shooter!
