I just love Sundays..nothing like sitting in front of the TV with some snacks and a beer and watching football from sunup to sundown. Here’s how this weeks NFL Sunday Wrap-up shapes up:

The Cleveland Browns can’t win for loosin. Earlier this week it was thought the team had swine flu and if that was true they could have played with their practice squad. They might have had a better outcome. I think Mangini should be on the coaching hot seat with Redskins coach Jim Zorn and Cowboys coach Wade Phillips. The Browns are now 1-6 and go on the road next week to face the Bears who look to rebound from a huge loss of their own. To bad Lebron James doesn’t play football… |

The Chargers picked up a much needed win this week by beating the Chiefs 37-10 on the road. They defended the ball much better this week and led at halftime 20-0. This win is also a step in the right direction as the Chargers face the Raiders at home next week. For the Chiefs this loss drops them to 1-6 and places them last in the division. So far the Matt Cassel project is a bust as he threw for only 97 yards and had 3 interceptions. As far as I’m concerned the whole Kansas City season is a project bust…better luck next year. |

The St. Louis Rams can’t even spell win let alone try and get one against the undefeated Colts. To the Rams credit they did muster up a field goal in two separate quarters. Maybe things are looking up….NOT! The Colts are on a roll winning their 15th straight regular season game and I don’t see any real challenges for them until week 10 when the face the Patriots. Peyton Manning is rolling Addai is rolling and it will certainly be an uphill battle for the Patriots to stop this well oiled machine. |

They say even a broken clock is right at least once a day. Let’s just say the broken clock in this case was the Buffalo Bills. As horrible as they played today they managed to beat the Panthers. The defense really stepped up causing 4 turnovers and all kinds of trouble for Jake Delhomme. Buffalo is now 3-4 and has a chance to get to .500 when the face the Texans at home next week. The Panthers on the other hand are now 2-4 and need to rethink their quarterback situation. If I were John Fox I’d start thinking about benching Delhomme before I’m watching the games, alone from home! |

Jay Cutler is as reliable as a car on its 3rd engine. He is good one week and bad the next. It’s safe to say this was one of the bad weeks. He had 3 interceptions and two fumbled snaps. Now if that’s not worth a 2 year $20 million dollar contract extension I don’t know what is. On the flip side, two thumbs up for Carson Palmer who had 5 touchdowns only 24 passes. Who knew, all the Bengals needed to do to turn a season around, was have a receiver change his last name to a number and have a QB who played only 4 games last season lead them to a 5-2 record. Go Bengals. |

The undefeated stays undefeated…barely! Now my scoring prediction may have been a little off but like I said on Friday this would be a very eventful game, on the Saints would not just walk in and take. The Saints had to overcome a 21 point hole to increase their record to 6-0. To the credit of the Dolphins they made Drew Breese have his worst game of the season with sacking him 5 times, making him throw 3 INT’s and loosing a fumble. This drops the Dolphins to 2-4 with their next two games on the road they can easily fall to 2-6. The wildcat offense can only do so much…lets try playing a game without any wildcat plays (I know I know this may be hard) and see how we do. Just a thought… |

For some reason I know a lot of 49er fans and I just love it when they loose so I can rub it in their faces. Now although my team lost too, it doesn’t matter because we beat them and we have a better overall record. To the credit of the 49ers the prodigal son Michael Crabtree played and did well in is first game of the season and the team did a good job regrouping from a 21-0 and 1st half deficit. The Texans however sustained the 49er onslaught and improved to a very respectable 4-3 record. This is also their 1st set of back to back wins this season. Kudos to the Texan defense during the last gasp effort of the 49ers to come up with a key interception. I guess defense really does win games! |

Oh my poor, poor, poor Vikings. We tried but just couldn’t pull out a win on the road. Damn you defending champion Steelers. They had 2 key defensive touchdowns that proved to be too much for my Vikings. And if the Vikings can’t score from ½ a yard away we have a problem. Although old man Favre played a decent game Adrian Peterson was held to 69 rushing yards, one of his lowest of the season. I can’t really say too much else about my team but I know we will bounce back next week at Green Bay. It will be a weird sight to see Favre in Lambeau as a Viking but I’ll get use to it. Good win Pittsburgh…you got us this time. |

Well it’s not like this game needs much of an analysis. I hope people didn’t think Tom Brady’s 6 touchdown passes last week was a fluke. Furthermore I hope no one thought the Buccaneers would give the Patriots their 3rd loss of the season. The New England Patriots dominated the entire game and really showed the Wembley, England crowd why he is a 2 time Super Bowl MVP. The Patriots had control of the game from the fifth play with an interception returned for a touchdown. Oooooh Tampa Bay you guys just plain stink. Even playing in another country doesn’t help your chances of winning. They are now 0-7 and were held scoreless in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarter. Just bring back John Gruden already geez! |

NY Jets 38 |

Man you’d think with the Raiders having such an impressive win last week against the Eagles they’d at least give the Jets a run for their money. Well you thought wrong. The Raiders laid a goose egg today at home loosing to the Jets 38-0. They benched JaMarcus Russell in the first half after 3 early turnovers, and the backup QB only had 97 yards total passing. The cherry on top this day was the team had the smallest home attendance turnout since 1995. Okay enough about the train wreck we call the Raiders, lets focus on the Jets. Good to see Matt Sanchez bounce back from last weeks game and enjoy a hotdog, but real, real bad news about Leon Washington. He is done for the season after breaking his leg. This is a big loss in the Jets backfield but if backup Shonn Greene performs like he did today the Jets should be fine. |

If you had Tony Romo on your fantasy team today congratulations. Romo had his best game of the season to lead the Cowboys over the 4-2 Falcons. Romo had 3 TD’s and threw 2 of them to “nobody turned somebody” receiver Miles Austin. The cowboys were clicking on all cylinders holding Matt Ryan to 198 yards on 19 for 35 throwing. Perhaps Miles Austin is the kick in the pants the Cowboys need to get them on the right track. The Falcons should just scoot this loss under the rug and move on, because next week they are on the road against the undefeated New Orleans Saints. What a great Monday night game that will be! |

Defense was the name of the game tonight for the Arizona Cardinals. They caused Eli Manning to throw 3 INT’s and had him rattled most of the game. This win puts the Cardinals in first place of the NFC West division and gives the Giants their second straight loss. And it doesn’t get any easier for the Giants who face the Eagles next week on the road. The Cardinals on the other hand come back home to face the struggling 2-4 Panthers. Looks like this is Eli’s turn to be on the hot seat in New York relieving Matt Sanchez of his duties. Gotta love NY! |

This is going to be a real quick prediction. The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to avenge last weeks loss to the Raiders and unfortunately the Redskins are going to take the beating. The Redskins have no chance against the Eagles and I predict a blowout. Eagles 42 Redskins 17 |
